Original Skin's website lacked consistency and was guilty of many typographic sins. One of the biggest issues was that much of the text content appeared on top of imagery or colored backgrounds such that the color contrast between foreground and background made the text illegible.
The redesign presented keeps the thematic colors of white, black and red and simplifies much of the layout to ensure legibility. Additionally, we designed a type system that brings out the humanist beauty and intimacy of holistic services the client provides. Black and white photographs paired with blocks of red create a dramatic and powerful consistency across the website.
